How we check credentials

Every professional gives us their regulator and registration number and confirms their authorisation is current. Frequently asked questions

Is My Legal Hub a law firm?

No. My Legal Hub is an introducer marketplace - we connect you with independent, regulated legal professionals. We do not provide legal advice ourselves and are not regulated as a law firm. All legal advice and services are provided by the regulated professionals listed on the platform.

How do I know the professionals are genuine?

Each professional gives us their regulator and registration number and confirms their authorisation is current. SRA-authorised firms are checked automatically against the SRA register; for other regulators (Faculty Office, Bar Standards Board, OISC and overseas bodies) we cross-check periodically. Every profile shows the regulator and registration number, so you can always confirm a professional’s status directly with their regulator.

How much does it cost to find a professional?

Searching and browsing professional profiles on My Legal Hub is completely free. You only pay when you book a professional or purchase a platform service (such as an Apostille Concierge or Remote Notarisation). Fees are agreed directly with the professional you choose before you commit.

Can I use the platform from outside the UK?

Yes. My Legal Hub operates globally. Many of the services on the platform - including Remote Notarisation, Apostille Concierge, immigration advice and document templates - are specifically designed for international clients. Professionals on the platform cover over 190 countries.

What is Remote Online Notarisation (RON)?

Remote Online Notarisation allows a notary public to witness and notarise documents via a secure, recorded video call rather than in person. It is accepted in the UK and by many overseas authorities. You can book a RON session through My Legal Hub for documents required internationally.

What is an Apostille and how does the Apostille Concierge work?

An Apostille is an official government authentication stamp applied by the FCDO (Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office) that makes UK documents legally recognized in countries that are members of the Hague Convention. Our Apostille Concierge service handles the entire process on your behalf - from preparing your document to submitting it to the FCDO and returning it to you by courier.

How does the Legal Document Assistant work?

The Legal Document Assistant uses advanced technology and is designed to help you understand your legal situation, identify the right type of professional to book, and generate or analyze documents. It is not a substitute for legal advice from a qualified professional, but it gives you a strong starting point - saving time and cost before your first consultation.

I'm a legal professional - how do I join?

Visit the List Your Practice page and complete the registration form. We'll review your details (SRA firms are checked against the SRA register) and, once approved, your profile will go live - free listings are published within 24 hours, premium profiles are given priority placement from day one.
